AI meeting memory. Find the decision.
Remember the question, not the meeting date. Find the discussion behind a decision, inspect the source transcript, and carry the context into your next piece of work.

What is AI meeting memory?
AI meeting memory makes past meeting records useful after the call. Ghost can search saved summaries and transcript content by topic, person, project, or decision, then open the relevant meeting for detail. Notes and to-dos can link back to that record so the next task keeps its original context.
Reopen the meeting behind the decision.
The archive holds more than a summary. Search by topic, open the relevant meeting, inspect who said what, and connect the follow-up to the original record.
Search the topic instead of guessing the date.
Ask about a person, project, decision, or phrase from a transcript. For a broad overview, browse recent meetings; for a specific question, search the meeting records.
The summary puts the discussion back in context.
Open the full meeting record to see the summary and transcript together. Decisions, context, and follow-ups give you a useful first view of what happened.
Rollout readiness
Decision: hold until both owners confirm.
Risk: onboarding friction.
Follow-up: prepare the revised rollout brief.
Go back to the words that support the summary.
When exact wording or attribution matters, use the full transcript. If a later synthesis conflicts with the meeting, the original record is the place to check.
Hold the rollout until both blocker owners confirm.
Onboarding friction is our top customer complaint.
One owner has confirmed. I will check the other.
Let the meeting explain the work that follows.
A durable note can preserve the decision and a to-do can hold the next action. Both can link to the same meeting so later retrieval can follow the relationship.
Illustrative archive. Speaker identification depends on the available audio and voice profiles; a saved summary does not replace the full source when detail matters.
Search past meetings by what you remember.
You may remember Maya asking for a change without remembering which weekly call it was. Start with the person, project, decision, or a phrase from the conversation. Ghost searches the saved meeting records instead of asking you to reconstruct the date first.
For a broad catch-up, browse recent meetings. For a specific question, search the topic and open the relevant record. Older meetings can be retrieved through additional result pages; the first result is not automatically the whole story.
This page covers retrieval after a meeting. For the live transcript, speaker identification, summaries, and insights that create the record, see AI meeting notes.
- Person
- What did Maya ask us to review?
- Project
- Which meetings discussed the Atlas rollout?
- Decision
- Why did we hold the launch?
- Transcript phrase
- Where did we discuss the onboarding blocker?
Keep the summary close. Keep the source closer.
A summary gives you a useful first view of decisions, context, and follow-ups. The full meeting record supplies the transcript when you need exact wording or attribution.
If a later note or saved-history synthesis conflicts with the meeting, Ghost’s workflow gives the full meeting record priority. That makes it easier to separate what was actually said from an interpretation written afterward.
The source itself still deserves judgment. Transcription and speaker identification can be imperfect. A fluent answer is not a substitute for checking the relevant passage when an important decision depends on it.
A decision, with its context.
- Summary
- The rollout was held pending owner confirmation.
- Transcript
- Maya asked to wait until both blocker owners confirmed.
- Interpretation
- One confirmation alone does not satisfy the recorded condition.
Follow a decision across more than one call.
A project changes over time. An early concern may be resolved in a later meeting, while a new question takes its place. Ask Ghost to compare the relevant discussions rather than treating the oldest mention as the current answer.
A thorough timeline needs more than one search: related topic and person terms, older result pages, duplicate meetings removed, and the materially relevant full records checked. If something could not be checked, the answer should say so.
For retained context beyond meeting records, Ghost’s wider memory can help retrieve saved history and preferences. Meeting memory remains the route back to the original conversation, not a claim of perfect recall of everything you have ever said.
Let the meeting explain the next step.
Once you find the decision, use it. Ghost can connect a durable note or a Focus to-do to the source meeting. The note holds the working explanation; the task holds the action, priority, and progress.
A source-linked note can preserve the rollout rationale while the team revises the plan. A linked action item can keep the brief review visible without copying the full transcript into a checklist.
Before the next call, Heartbeat can use relevant meeting and task context to surface a useful preparation step. These are connected capabilities of Ghost, not separate assistants handing the work off blindly.

Product details
Meeting memory, at a glance.
Supported work, useful outputs, and what to check before you start.
- Find
- Search recorded meetings by topic, person, project, decision, or transcript content; browse recent meetings when you do not have a specific query.
- Inspect
- Open a matching meeting to review its full summary and transcript. A search excerpt is a pointer to that record, not a complete account of it.
- Continue
- Link verified meeting context to notes and to-dos. Older or exhaustive reviews can require more than one search and additional result pages.
One assistant. Connected work.
Ghost is a personal AI assistant for Mac. Meetings, Notes, To-dos, Browser, and Memory are connected capabilities of the same product, with records you can bring into the next task.
A question can start in meeting memory, become a source-linked note, and lead to a to-do. Browser work can supply new evidence for the follow-up, while saved history gives Ghost relevant context for the next conversation.
Questions about meeting memory.
Can I search for a meeting without knowing its date?
Yes. Search by topic, person, project, decision, or transcript content. If you only want a general catch-up, Ghost can browse recent meetings instead.
Can Ghost search the transcript as well as the summary?
Yes. Meeting search can use transcript content. After identifying a relevant meeting, Ghost can retrieve the full summary and transcript for a more careful answer.
Can it compare several past meetings?
Yes. For a project history or timeline, the workflow searches multiple relevant terms, checks older result pages, removes duplicate meeting IDs, and opens the material records. It should disclose missing evidence instead of implying every meeting was checked.
How is this different from AI meeting notes?
AI meeting notes covers live capture, the transcript, summary, and meeting insights. Meeting memory helps you find and reuse those saved records afterward.
Can meeting records link to notes and tasks?
Yes. Ghost can connect notes and Focus to-dos to the source meeting. Those relationships keep the follow-up tied to the discussion that explains it.
Is meeting memory the same as Ghost’s general memory?
No. This feature retrieves saved meeting records. General memory covers broader saved history and preferences; it can supplement context, but a synthesis is not a replacement for the full meeting record.
Does it remember every conversation automatically?
No. Retrieval depends on what was captured, saved, and available to Ghost. Recording consent, source availability, transcript quality, and speaker identification all matter. The meeting archive is not a guarantee of complete or error-free recall.
The meeting ended. Its context can stay useful.
